The Muslim Brotherhood students in Helwan University organized last Tuesday March 28, the ninth artistic festival in front of the Central Library in the university campus which was attended by more than 5 thousand students.

The festival which was held shortly after the referendum on the constitutional amendments, is entitled “Not to Distorting Constitution”, and included sketches, theatrical shows and songs that tackled the constitutional amendments and the notorious articles in them.

Abdul Aziz Mogahed, one of the organizers, told Ikhwanweb that students wait very anxiously every year for the festival which is becoming very popular since it was first organized nine years ago. The festival coincided this year with constitutional amendments and the security repressions and interventions in the student movement.

Mogahed pointed out that art is a good means for spreading ideas and protest the current situation which is different from demonstrations and marches; it also allow students to sharpen their acting skills.

Mogahed said that organizing the festival faced many restrictions; the university administration sent some employees with video cameras to intimedate the students by taking footages of the organizers.
