MB Activist Detained, Another’s Detention Renewed

Egyptian State Security forces arrested Kafr El-Sheikh MB member Ayman Abdul-Lateef Mohamed, on Monday, March 23, after raiding his house.
 
Meanwhile, Bandar prosecution had ordered the detention of Kafr El-Sheikh MB leader Osama El-Husseiny for 15 days on charges of affiliation with a banned organization after his arrest on the streets of Kafr Ibrahim village last Thursday.  Prosecution further ordered the release of Amr Abu Shehata and Fathy Darweesh who remain detained in the State Security headquarters in Kafr El-Sheikh.
 
Similarly, the Supreme State Security prosecution ordered the release of former MB candidate in Kafr El-Sheikh municipal elections Dr. Munir Hammuda after state security forces kidnapped him in his clinic in Al-Hamoul Center last Wednesday along with Abdul-Fattah El-Sayyid Abdul-Fattah who was kidnapped on a street in the same village.  Sources confirm that they have not yet been released and that detention orders have been issued against them.
 
Egyptian State Security had launched a large-scale campaign against MB members and leaders since the beginning of March detaining dozens from different governorates.
