MP Sobhy Saleh (Secretary of the Geographical Sectors of the MB Parliamentary Bloc) has stressed that the Egyptian organisations have political agendas with the Egyptian regime which makes them avoid taking serious actions regarding the cases of MB detainees. Saleh agreed with Mahmoud Qandil (Human Rights Activist) that human rights organizations worry about their well-being if they declared their solidarity withMB detainees. He pointed out that most organizations find the MB file very critical, for this reason they don’t start a battle with the regime that could actually wipe off their existence, emphasizing the need of human rights organization to review this issue since human rights are indivisible and cannot be negotiated. Mahmoud Qandil has stressed, in a side-seminar, the discussion of Human Rights situations in Egypt, yesterday evening in the Doctors Union, Egypt, that these organisations claim to defend human rights in an unbiased humanitarian framework that has nothing to do with politics, group or a particular party, however the truth is that it neglects most of the humanitarian cases of MB detainees, in particular the cases of Dr. Mostafa El-Ghonemi (Sectretary-General of the Doctors Union in Gharbeya governorate) and many others, fearing the regime. |
