MB Lawyers Express Solidarity With Badawi, Nuh, Nour

In a new step to confront the halt of Lawyers’ Syndicate elections, the syndicate’s Shari’a Committee announced its solidarity with the challenges presented requesting the cancellation of the decision to cross out lawyers Khaled Badawy, Mukhtar Nuh, and Ayman Nour from lawyers’ lists.

Also, a number of the committee’s candidates have launched an intervention campaign to counter the challenges presented by some of the lawyers to end lawyers’ elections for reasons they described as “threatening the integrity of elections.”

The Administrative Judicature Court, headed by Judge Mohamed Qishta, is expected to hold a special session Monday noon to look into all the challenges presented by lawyers against the running of elections.

Abdul-Mun’im Abdul-Maqsud, Head of the Elections Campaign for Shari’a Committee candidates, urged lawyers to attend the court session to confront who he called “the new guards” who are trying to halt the elections in any way, put the syndicate under surveillance, and prevent the election of a council that represents the true will of lawyers.
