The Islamic Action Front (IAF) party, or MB in Jordan, called on the government in Amman to condemn the Israeli acts being carried out against the land, sanctuaries, and people of Jerusalem and take the initiative for Arab and international action in the face of “the planned and coordinated Zionist campaign.”

Commenting on the news affirming the rightist Israeli government’s determination to swallow thousands of acres from the lands of the holy city and disconnect it from the West Bank, in addition to the repeated orders to destroy the property of the people of Jerusalem and the digging operations being carried out under Al-Aqsa mosque’s infrastructure, IAF party leader Hekmet El-Rowashda said, “These are practical steps towards transferal adopted by PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s government,” warning against the continuous neglect of the issue which could further ignite Zionist pursuits and “the whole region will be faced with the reality imposed on it.”

El-Rowashda further emphasized that what is taking place in Jerusalem is a matter that “must be among Jordan’s top priorities,” considering the aggressive Zionist acts a “direct assault on Jordan which “is supposedly responsible for the sanctuaries of Jerusalem.”

El-Rowashda also pointed out that the Arab and Palestinian memory refuses to forget the Palestinian setback adding that according to a recent poll, 89% of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, for example, believe in their ability to fulfill their dream of return to their land and that they have become more determined to fulfill it
