GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian government in Gaza provided Tuesday the visiting UN fact-finding committee with photos, documents and evidence related to the Israeli war crimes committed during the last war on the Gaza Strip.

This came during a meeting with the committee at the health ministry headquarters in the presence of health minister Basem Naim, minister of justice Mohamed Al-Ghoul, political advisor for the ministry of foreign affairs Ahmed Yousuf and spokesman for the government Taher Al-Nunu.

In a news conference held by the Palestinian officials following the meeting, Ghoul said that the government would provide the committee with more evidence and documents illustrating the enormity of crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza.

For his part, Dr. Yousuf stressed that his government would facilitate the mission of this committee and would provide it with all reports and documents that were prepared immediately after the war.

Spokesman Nunu pointed out that the delegation would make field visits to Jabaliya refugee camp, Beit Lahiya, Al-Zeitoun area and other distressed areas in Gaza, adding that the delegation would leave the Strip next Friday after getting access to all evidence and documents.

The international fact-finding committee that is composed of 15 international experts and headed by South African judge Richard Goldstone arrived in Gaza on Monday morning through the Rafah border crossing.
