IOF troops violently quell Palestinian villagers

Israeli occupation forces firing gas canisters, sonic bombs and rubber-coated bullets at inhabitants of the Beit Ummar village, Al-Khalil district, were confronted with youths throwing stones and empty bottles.

Eyewitnesses reported that the violent confrontations occurred after the IOF soldiers stormed the village at a late hour on Sunday and imposed a curfew.

The soldiers combed the village homes in search of citizens who threw firebombs at a bus carrying settlers while on its way from Al-Khalil to Bethlehem, which started fire in the bus.

Locals reported that the confrontations continued unabated until Monday morning with no casualties reported so far.

The IOF troops rounded up 14 Palestinians in various West Bank cities at dawn Monday.

The IOF command claimed that a shotgun, a pistol and bullets were found during the search operation that coupled the arrest of those Palestinians.
