Veiled Martyr’s Defense Team: Egypt’s Ambassador Impedes our Movement!!

Ikhwanweb obtained a copy of the defense team”s report concerning the veiled martyr Dr. Marwa El Sherbini. The report revealed that the Egyptian Ambassador in Berlin refused to combine forces with the defense team, although he knew well that they were mandated by the General Bar Association of Egypt to follow up the case. The report explained that the ambassador had instructed his staff not to co-operate with the defence team.

The Ambassador coolly met the lawyer of the Syndicate. His office has not allowed him and his entourage to visit the victim”s husband Dr. Elwy Ali. According to the report when he finally did decide to visit the victim, he ignored them, although they were visiting at the same time.

The defense had protested against the Ambassador”s attitude and in turn refused to meet him when he was ready to meet on July 9, due to the ill-treatment. The report also indicated that the People’s Assembly Speaker Dr. Fathi Sorour co-wrote the legal memo with the lawyers.

The report indicated that the defense discussions with Dr. Elwy have concluded the need to accept the rule of the conventional compensation with Germany”s Saxony state government. The legal counsel provided by Egypt”s Lawyers has been praised and welcomed by the report.

Their visit to the scene confirmed that there were tight security arrangements, which were supposed to impede any person from carrying weapons from inside the court, since the court is equipped with electronic gates at the entrance. It was revealed later in the report that the Court did not in fact take any extra security measures despite security reports detailing that the defendant was a serious threat.

The date for the German police report has not been revealed as of yet. The Egyptian report stated there has not been any information about how long it took the judge to actually set off the alarm that was in the reach of his hand. Even the date of the martyr”s death has not been published, although the veiled martyr had been stabbed at least eighteen times, emphasizing that those who were present in the courtroom never intervened to save the victim. In fact, they only stood aside.

The police officer who happened to be in the court aimed and fired his pistol towards the husband of the headscarf martyr deliberately causing serious injury. Moreover the attorney of the accused, Alex W., was the person who took action and pummeled the criminal with a chair in order to prevent him from also killing the husband.
