The family of Hassan Albanna the Muslim Brotherhood movement founder has demanded the release of documents belonging to the late Hassan Albanna.
The British foreign ministry continues to hold the documents despite the fact that 80 years have passed however, the British law specifies that documents belonging to political leaders may be released after 30 years of his death
The documents are needed for the filming of his biography for a television series which will be produced by a foreign company hopefully to commence filming after the holy month of Ramadan.
Gamal Heshmat former MP has asserted that "These demands are nothing short of Hassan Albanna's family's rights. The Egyptian regime has performed all sorts of measures to defame and tarnish the movement's reputation and the criterion between the group and the Egyptian governments' accusations and allegations are in the release and handing over of these documents. The Brotherhood has nothing to hide."
