Al-Qaradawi Calls for Friday to be “A Day of Anger

Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the head of the international association of Muslim scholars, called for the Arab, Muslim and free nations to make next Friday “a day of anger in support of Al- Aqsa Mosque” against the Israeli  occupation forces.

He called for peaceful marches to be held this Friday October 9, to protest Israeli’s policies regarding Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque and to spend Friday night supplicating to Allah to protect the sanctities of Muslims.

Dr. Al-Qaradawi condemned the Arab governments’ silence towards the “violation of Al Aqsa’s holiness” by Israeli settlers and occupation forces as he sent a message to the world saying “This Umma (Muslim World) is still resilient, and won’t die. Leaders will die, but nations won’t.”

In a conference Al-Qaradawi stated” We came to speak freely at the Egyptian Journalists’ Syndicate urging masses of people in the Arab and Islamic world, to undertake their responsibility to defend Al Aqsa mosque, “The Palestinian cause does not belong to the Arab, Muslims, or even the Palestinians alone but belongs to the entire world. Every Muslim and Arab must consider Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque the most significant of his priorities.

In his speech delivered at the Syndicate, Al-Qaradawi revealed that the Israeli occupation have been involved in the destructive excavations directly beneath the Mosque shedding light on the Arab leaders passiveness and indifferent attitude.

Al-Qaradawi denounced the ineffectiveness  in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, calling for Arab and Islamic peoples to send their messages to the Secretariat of the Arab League, the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Conference and all leaders and rulers. He stressed that “We sacrifice our bodies and souls to defend  Al-Aqsa Mosque,” highlighting  that it isn’t a choice but a responsibility and duty of each and every Muslim all over the world.

Al-Qaradawi called for all trade unions, professional associations and institutions of civil society to participate and voice their condemnation of the barbaric invasions and attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque. Failure to save Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem is an unacceptable failure and loss to the entire Muslim nation and actual proof of corruption.

Al-Qaradawi continued “The time has come and the Israelis must know that we object to what is being done to our most honored and holy place. What belongs to the Muslims will always be for the Muslims. We have sacrificed, are still sacrificing and will continue to success. We will not go down without a fight”.

He entrusted the task of spreading the Palestinian cause, the conspiracies plotted against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the ongoing Judaizing of Jerusalem to the media. Al-Qaradawi accused the Arab League of abandoning its role to support Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque claiming that it is clear that there is a double-standard policy tilting towards the Israeli occupation.

He urged a mass boycott of Israeli and American products. “With every penny that we spend, Israel buys a bullet to kill a Palestinian and that is something you will be accountable for in front of Allah,” he said, defending boycotts as a valid means of peaceful protest.
