Independent judges will rain check Club’s presidential elections but will keep their eyes open.

The Judges independent movement announced that it would not nominate any candidates for the Judges Club Presidential elections which are  scheduled to take place January 15, 2010.

Chancellor Ashraf Albaroudy ascertained in a statement to “Ikhwanweb” they would support any independent Judge who chooses to nominate himself “However we will not run as a Party”.  Albaroudy continued that the decision was made with Chancellor Mahmoud Mekki’s absence and Chancellor Ahmed Mekki’s forthcoming resignation in mind. “We will nonetheless follow closely the elections”.

The Independent judges hoped that the elections would be free and fair since former incidents have proved otherwise where the candidates who were on the list had faced unpleasant experiences. They anticipate that the next Club President will succeed in improving the atmosphere and assume a more positive role.
