RAMALLAH, -- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rounded up two Palestinians in Ramallah city at dawn Wednesday at the pretext they were wanted for interrogation.

On Tuesday, the IOF soldiers arrested a liberated prisoner in Bethlehem who was wanted by the PA in Ramallah, led by PA chief Mahmoud Abbas, for the past four months.

Local sources said that the IOF soldiers detained Ali Hamdan, 40, in Shawara village east of Bethlehem. He was only recently released from Israeli jails after five years of imprisonment.

Abbas's militias summoned Hamdan's 60-year-old aunt and two of his brothers in a bid to pressure him into surrendering himself.

A number of released detainees from Abbas's jails said that the two brothers were subjected to severe torture rounds.

Abbas's militias continued their arrest campaign in lines of Hamas supporters in the West Bank and kidnapped five citizens in the districts of Qalqilia, Nablus and Bethlehem.

Those militias had alleged three months ago that no more torture was being exercised in its jails.
