IOA starts plan to raze Bustan suburb in occupied Jerusalem

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, — Israeli police and border guards distributed Wednesday eradication notifications to five families in the Bustan suburb in occupied Jerusalem.

The Israeli occupation authority cordoned off the suburb with iron bars, which prompted inhabitants to throw stones on the policemen to prevent them from distributing more notifications.

Fakhri Abu Diab, of the committee in defense warned in a press release of the seriousness of the police storming operations of the Silwan and Bustan lands. He said that the municipality employees had clearly informed the inhabitants that the implementation of the scheme to demolish the Bustan suburb was now in full swing.

Abu Diab said that the inhabitants were worried that the municipality might raze the entire Bustan suburb, which is comprised of 88 residences providing shelter for approximately 1,500 people.
