MB Detainee Hospitalized After Suffering Heart Attack

Damu prison administration sent accountant Mostafa Atiya, a Muslim Brotherhood detainee in Al Fayyum, west of Cairo, to the public hospital, after he suffered a heart attack; he received the necessary treatment and doctors confirmed that he is doing well.
 
It is worth mentioning that Mostafa Atiya was arrested along with nine MB member in Al Fayyum on Thursday Feb., 15, 2007, and the prosecution charged them of belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood and jailed them for 15 days pending trial in Damu prison, in Al Fayyum.
 
For his part, Mostafa Awadallah, MB parliamentary bloc member for the governorate, told Ikhwanweb that families of Al Fayyum detainees have complained so much of the maltreatment of the prison administration of the detainees and that they were denied visits by their caregivers more than once .
 
The Muslim Brotherhood MP considered the ongoing sweeps of arrests confirms the Egyptian regime’s plans to prevent any Muslim Brotherhood activity during in the next period prior to the upcoming Shura Council elections (Egypt’s Upper House of Parliament).
