Israeli policemen ransack Aqsa Mosque’s zakat savings.

 

The guards of the holy Aqsa Mosque reported that  security and intelligence forces entered without prior notice ransacking the headquarters and checking notebooks and papers.They reported  that a number  of extremist Israeli settlers under heavy police protection also broke into the courtyards of the Mosque offending its sacredness.

Dr. Yousuf Al-Shrafi, a Hamas lawmaker, said that this raid on the holy Mosque’s Zakat committee further  proved the criminal nature of the Israeli occupation towards the occupied city of Jerusalem and its people.

In another incident, Palestinian sources in Jerusalem revealed Monday that serious cracks and fissures were seen in the Marwani mosque, part of the Aqsa Mosque, believed to be caused by the Israeli’s ongoing excavations which are taking place underground.  Photos illustrated that these fissures are concentrated in the columns and facades of the Marwani mosque.

In a separate context, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped Monday 12 Palestinian citizens, three of them brothers, from the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah and Al-Khalil.The Hebrew radio staion reported that these citizens were wanted by Israel and were  referred to the competent authorities for investigation.

The IOF also removed for the seventh time a sit-in tent in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood opposite the Ghawi family houses that were seized by Israeli settlers by force, the  contents of the tent were also confiscated.

Forces also arrested  45-year old   Fatima Dyab for her attempt to throw hot oil on right-wing Knesset member Michael Ben Ari during a provocative tour he made to Palestinian homes taken over by Israeli settlers in an effort to protect what was rightfully theirs.
