Turkish initiated aid convoy heads  to Gaza in April

 

ISTANBUL, — The Turkish humanitarian relief foundation IHH said it is making huge preparations for sending an aid convoy composed of 20 ships from the Istanbul port to the besieged Gaza Strip next month.

The IHH, which has participated in many aid convoys to Gaza, added that the ships will be loaded with vital humanitarian needs such as construction materials and medical aid.

It confirmed that other ships from the US, Greece, France, Italy, Germany, Malaysia and Venezuela, in addition to many multinational figures and human rights activists will participate in the convoy.

Head of the IHH Bulen Yildirim affirmed that there is no legal impediment preventing the convoy from reaching Gaza port, adding that the convoy aims to break the Israeli blockade and the Egyptian restrictions imposed on Gaza.
