OCHA: IOF kill 9 Palestinians, wound 18 in two months

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed nine Palestinians and wounded 18 others since the beginning of 2010 while 18 children were rounded up in occupied Jerusalem, a report by the UN organization for coordinating humanitarian affairs in the occupied Palestinian lands (OCHA) confirmed  on Saturday.

The report asserted that IOF incursions had increased over the past week along with the detentions, noting that 18 children were rounded up in Silwan suburb, in occupied Jerusalem and were released on the same day on condition that they would be held under house arrest for 7 to 10 days.

The Israeli occupation authority also razed a Palestinian house in a village of Al-Khalil rendering 12 citizens, including 8 children, homeless while demolition notifications were served to 17 owners of buildings in the districts of Jericho, Bethlehem and Jenin, the report elaborated.

It pointed out that IOF escalation was monitored in the Gaza Strip over the past week in which five Palestinians were wounded three in an IOF air raid and two in mortar shelling.

Archives of the IOF recently revealed that  troops totally obliterated Palestinian villages and forced their inhabitants to evacuate land since Israel was declared on the land of Palestine in 1948.

The documents recently published by Ha’aretz newspaper revealed that the IOF razed 120 mosques out of the original 160 that were in Palestine in 1948.
