Dr. Mohammed Abu Hudaib, the head of the political and national security committee in the Arab Transitional Parliament, reported to Al-Jazeera net website on Monday that the ATP decided in its meeting late last week in Damascus to send a delegation of its speakers and members to visit the besieged Strip after the Arab summit in Libya.

The delegates would get first hand information on conditions of the besieged Palestinians, Hudaib said, adding that the ATP obtained all necessary approvals for the visit.

A delegation of the Arab League-affiliated Arab parliamentary union had visited the Strip last month and met with Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya in addition to the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council Dr. Ahmed Bahar and members of the council in Gaza.
