GAZA, -- British MPs intent to ask their government not to sell weapons to Israel reflects a growing European awareness of the threat Israel is posing to world peace and stability, Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil, a Hamas leader, said on Tuesday. He said in a press release that the developments in Europe, although slow, are an indication of the growing understanding of the "Zionist enemy's dangers" not only on peace in the Middle East but rather on the world peace and stability. He said that the British move points to a tangible change in the British opinion of Israel and its "criminal acts". Bardawil asked the Arab diplomatic missions to invest in those developments in a bid to expand the gap between Israel and Europe and to limit European support for Israel. He also proposed a similar campaign in the USA to influence its blind support for Israel and to convince the American administration to reconsider its options and to ponder the damage affecting its interests in the Middle East as a result of the racist practices of Israel. | |||||||
