Police in Menoufeya prohibited ambulances from entering the university after clashes erupted between the forces and students who were expressing solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians. Seven students needed immediate medical attention after forces assaulted them with batons seriously injuring them. More than 23 MB students were arrested and university guards alleged that the group attacked them.

MB lawyer Tarek Ragab denounced the violent actions arguing that the police have no right to detain the students who were on campus grounds.
