Sharqiya: MB candidate eliminated from Shura elections nominations

The committee supervising the Shura Council’s elections for 2010 excluded Mahmoud Seif, Sobh, and the Muslim Brotherhood’s nominee from the Sharqiya governorate.

An appeal was submitted by Abdullah Alanwar, NDP’s nominee for the same constituency based on the fact that Sobh cannot run for the elections to represent labor since he is not a member of the Laborer’s Syndicate.

Sobh affirmed to ‘Ikhwanweb’ that he will file a lawsuit and challenge the appeal in the Supreme Administrative Judiciary Court  against the decision of excluding him. He pointed out that he has the necessary documents from the General Union for Egyptian Laborers proving that he is “a laborer”.

Sobh expressed his belief in the Egyptian’s just judiciary system which is renowned for restoring the right to its people. He intends to run in the elections in response to the demands and wishes of residents in the constituency.
