The conference titled "What changes do workers want?" is coordinated by the Solidarity movement and Coordinating committee of Rights and Freedoms of Association and the Egyptian Centre for Economic and Social Rights

This last year has witnessed an escalation in the number of public abuse and violation of workers rights who have recently taken to the streets to voice their anger and objections. Workers objected to the continued broken promises and failure by authorities to implement the agreements and promises to resolve problems. The constant negligence and violations has angered workers including Tanta Flax and the recent security attacks on the Amonisto workers who were brutally beaten by baton wielding forces during as recent protest

It is expected that this year's conference will increase the Egyptian workers adamant stand to unite and defend their rights following any measures deemed necessary to regain their stolen rights.
