The National Assembly for Change has organized a press conference at its headquarters to condemn the arrests of 15 men from the Alexandria governorate for participating and promoting a petition calling for political reform.

Other political opposition leaders and representatives will attend the conference to voice their anger and contempt at yet another instance of the regime's oppression. Those Participating include MP Dr. Hamdi Hassan assistant Secretary-General for the Muslim Brotherhood's parliamentary bloc and MB MP Dr. Mohamed Beltagy, Dr. Hassan Nafaa, General Coordinator of the Association, Dr. Ayman Nour's Ghad Party leader, Dr. Abdel-Galil Mustafa, the leader in the National Assembly, Dr. Hamdi Hassan, and media spokesman and journalist Hamdi Kandil, spokesman for the National Assembly for change.

The online petition launched by the MB and NAC on their respective websites have succeeded in winning the attention worldwide as over 350, 000 signatures have been collected calling for 7 demands for constitutional amendments and political reform.
