Jail of Dr. Beshr, 5 Others  Prolonged, Publishers Released

The Egyptian Higher State Security Prosecution prolonged, on Saturday, the jail of six Muslim Brotherhood (MB) leaders, including Dr. Mohamed Ali Beshr, a member of the MB Executive Bureau.

Meanwhile, the prosecution continued its investigations with two students whose detentions were prolonged along with 16 MB members last Wednesday, among the group which was arrested with Eng. Khairat Al Shater, the MB deputy chairman.

In the same context, two publishers, Mohamed Abu Agour who owns Al-Kalima publishing house and Ahmed Mahmoud Sahib who owns Badr publishing house, were released after they were arrested in the Cairo International Book Fair. They appeared before the New Cairo-based prosecution on charge of a copyright case and it released them.

For his part, Abdul Moneim Abdul Maqsoud condemned the case filed against the detainees, and considered it politically motivated. He demanded also releasing them after completing the investigations that didn’t convict any one, specially that they aren’t expected to escape.

Abdul Maqsood an immediate release for the detainees, specially that the court has acknowledged that they didn’t commit any wrongdoing or any thing that may require throwing them behind bars .
