Salil Shetty Secretary General of Amnesty International called for the immediate and safe release of his colleagues and others with them, who were monitoring the human rights situation in Egypt.
 
The men were arrested early Thursday from the Hisham Mubarak Center for Human Rights and transferred to an unknown destination.
