Investigations conducted by the High State Security Prosecutor with Abdel Nasser El Gabry, former NDP member, on charges of planning and financing attacks on protesters on February 2nd, prove Hussein Megawer, former president of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation, NDP MPs Magdi Allam, Mohammed Al-Morshedy, Mohammed Abdel Aal and Mustafa Abdel Karim were involved in the attacks.

They met two days before the camel and horse attacks took place at the Hotel Sofitel Maadi while PA speaker Fathi Sorour gave the orders.

They all agreed to pool thugs in front of Al-Nour mosque, Abbassiya, "and in front of Maspiro. Then, they went on to Tahrir Square with other thugs coming from Nazlet El Seman and Mustafa Mahmoud Square in order to attack protestors in Tahrir at the same time», according to investigations conducted by the general prosecution office.

Investigations with El Gabry lasted till late last night, where he has denied the charges made against him, adding that he has only participated in peaceful pro-Mubarak protests and did not pay any money to thugs from Nazlet El Seman to attack the protestors in Tahrir. He also denied any connections with the 26 arrested convicts that confirmed having received an amount up to LE300 from El Gabry before the attacks.

Gabry added that NDP Trustees nationwide have been instructed to carry out pro-Mubarak protests, but failed and NDP members were forced to turn off their mobile phones so as not to respond to Safwat al-Sharif.

He also noted that some NDP members in Cairo and Giza have responded to al-Sharif's appeals, and those who had contact with some lost their parliamentary seats to get help», admitting, for the first time, that he responded to the NDP Secretary General and paid money to thugs to participate in pro-Mubarak protests.
