MB to Meet Orthodox Pope to Bridge Gaps
In an attempt to bridge gaps, a meeting has been scheduled by the Muslim Brotherhood chairman, Dr. Mohamed Badie, intended to rekindle relations between Copts and Muslims based on dialogue.
No specific agenda has been set, however, Badie asserted previously that he intends to ask the Orthodox Pope about his health following his treatment in the US..
The meeting will take place at the Saint Mark Cathedral on Tuesday. According to Dr. Abdul Rahman el Barr from the MB Executive Bureau, the group unconditionally welcomes communication with the society regardless of ideological and religious differences. Egypt’s wellbeing, he said, should be a priority for all.
