Dr. Abdul-Rahman Ba-Fadel, president of the parliamentary bloc of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (YCR), Yemen's Muslim Brotherhood, congratulated the Yemeni political activist Tawakkul Karman, member of the YCR, for winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

Ba-Fadel told IkhwanWeb in Cairo: "Tawakkul is a dutiful daughter of Yemen. We’ve always supported her whole-heartedly."

He pointed out that Tawakkul’s Nobel prize win is proof that the world supports the peaceful revolution of Yemen, and a message from the international community that they are with the protesters.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced Friday, in the Norwegian capital Oslo, that three women won the Nobel Peace Prize 2011. They are: Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and another Liberian activist called Leymah Gbowee, in addition to Tawakkul Kerman.

Tawakkul Kerman has dedicated the Nobel Peace Prize she was awarded on Friday to the people of her country and to all Arab women, and saw it as a victory for the peaceful revolution in Yemen. "I am over-joyed… This is a victory for peace in the Arab World and for our peaceful revolution... I believe the Prize is for all the people of Yemen and for all women in Yemen and the Arab World," she said.
