FJP Extends Warm Wishes in Commemoration of October 6 Victory

Mohamed Saad el-Katatni, secretary-general of the Freedom and Justice party extended warm wishes to the Egyptian people and the military, with all its ranks, commemorating Egypt’s victory on October 6 against the Israeli army.

Praising the military, for defeating the enemy and protecting the land during the war, he called on them to work in favour of speedily handing over power to an elected civilian authority. “The army can assume its assigned roles after handing over power and go back to efficiently protecting the country and its borders,” he said.

He stressed that the Egyptian people and the army, which won back its freedom in 1973, was again able to repeat its victory in the January revolution proving that the people are capable of protecting their freedom regardless of the challenges.

“The Egyptian people take pride in the victories achieved through the courage and sacrifice of their army which fought to restore the dignity and honour and win back its land”, he asserted.
