FJP Executive Office Accepts Katatni Resignation From Secretary-General Post

FJP Executive Office Accepts Katatni Resignation From Secretary-General Post

Dr. Mohamed Morsi, Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), stated that the party’s Executive Office accepted – during a meeting today – the request made by Dr. Mohamed Saad Katatni, FJP Secretary General, not to continue in this capacity if elected as the People’s Assembly Speaker.

Dr. Morsi said that the party’s Executive Office also decided that Dr. Katatni shall continue to carry out his duties temporarily and until a meeting of the FJP National Committee is convened to elect the Secretary General who will succeed him.

Members of the FJP Executive Office wished Katatni success in his new role as Speaker of the People’s Assembly, stressing their confidence that he will be at the same distance from all members of parliament, both those who belong to the FJP and those who belong to other parties, so as to uphold the principles of democracy and establish the foundations of pure political and parliamentary participation.
