Khairat Al-Shater, the Egyptian presidential candidate, said Monday in a statement on his official Facebook page, that the Muslim Brotherhood’s approach was and still is one of peaceful change. Al-Shater added that he "did not and will not call for armed struggle, unless Egypt is subject to foreign aggression".

Therefore, Al-Shater added, the Brotherhood will engage in legal and political battles, as an integral part of the Egyptian people, to ensure the transfer of power and the implementation of the renaissance project.

The statement concluded: "We will not accept any alternative to the continuation of the revolution until its goals are achieved".
