Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Secretary-General of the Muslim Brotherhood, affirmed that no U.S. delegations visited the organizations’ headquarters in Moqattam - Cairo, thus contradicting press reports in Egyptian media.

He further affirmed that those reports may in fact refer to various visits by ambassadors, delegations and commissions to the headquarters of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), for meetings with the party’s Vice-Chairman or technical, economic or other committees.

These, Dr. Hussein stressed, are normal visits made not only to the FJP but to all political parties in Egypt.

Dr. Hussein assured that the Muslim Brotherhood clearly announces any visits or meetings taking place at its headquarters, reiterating that the organization has nothing to hide.
