Dr. Mohamed Saad Katatni, Secretary-General of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), collected on Monday the nomination form and documents as the first FJP member to apply for the party’s chairman post elections, to replace Mohamed Morsi, who resigned the position following his presidential election victory.
The committee overseeing the FJP leadership elections began its work at 11 am on Monday, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abdul-Ghani, the committee’s secretary, and committee members Azab Mustafa and Karem Radwan.
The FJP internal regulations stipulate that to run for the party chairmanship, a candidate must have 100 recommendations from members of the party’s General Assembly.
