Dr. Mohamed Saad Katatni, Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Chairman, said: "We understand the difficulties of forming governments in a transitional phase, and that they may not fulfill all aspirations."

In a press statement, Dr. Katatni welcomed the formation of the new cabinet, affirming the FJP's full support for the Government, adding that he instructed the party’s top officials to put all FJP technical capabilities and cadres in the service of the new government so it can safely cross the transitional period, including the election of the House of Representatives.

"I call on all national and political parties and movements, as well as all experts and technocrats to lend a helping hand to the new government. Challenges facing our people require concerted efforts to mitigate the negative effects of the transitional phase.

"I wish all the best for Dr. Hisham Qandil and his new Cabinet. I underline the need for consultation with political parties and societal forces before taking strategic decisions, especially those that affect the ordinary citizen."
