Muslim Brotherhood: Putschists Responsible for Leader, Detainees Health
Muslim Brotherhood: Putschists Responsible for Leader, Detainees Health
Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood holds the putschists accountable for safety as well as health of all prisoners, including Brotherhood Chairman Badie.
Tuesday, September 3,2013 02:14

In a press statement late on Monday (August 2), the Muslim Brotherhood said it held Egypt’s Ministry of Interior and the Public Prosecution Service fully responsible for the health and well-being of the group's leader and all other prisoners, whether they were Muslim Brotherhood members or otherwise.

The Brotherhood pointed to the difference between the way ousted Mubarak’s officials, imprisoned on real charges, were treated, and the way anti-coup detainees, jailed on totally false charges, are being mistreated now, just because they are expressing their opinion rejecting the military coup.
