Anti-Coup National Alliance Calls ‘Coup Does Not Represent Egypt’ Protest Tuesday

The Anti-Coup, Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance salutes Egyptian youths, who have proven that they really are the pillar of the Revolution, as they erupted from all corners of Egypt, answering the call of the Revolution and demonstrating in all cities, towns and villages across the nation on Friday and Saturday in the "Youth are Pillar of the Revolution" week.

The Alliance pays well-deserved tribute to these great youths, and a very special tribute to Egypt’s women and girls who turned out in such dangerous security conditions, unprecedented in the history of Egypt, bravely ignoring the inhumane practices exercised by the coup against revolutionaries who oppose the coup.

The Alliance further pays a huge tribute to the free men and women of Delga, Kerdasa and Nahia towns who taught the putschists a hard lesson with their peaceful protests, patience and fortitude.

To complement these noble and honorable endeavors, the Alliance calls all free, patriotic citizens in Egypt and abroad to rally and demonstrate at noon on Tuesday, September 24 in front of the headquarters of the United Nations, under the slogan "Coup Does not Represent Egypt" – an objection to the visit of the military-appointed figurehead Foreign Minister to the United Nations as a representative of the Egyptian state, and an expression of rejection by the Egyptian people for the coup, as well as all the military-installed bodies, institutions and committees.

The Alliance salutes all the world’s free citizens who came out expressing their rejection of the illegitimate coup mounted in Egypt. It also appreciates the role of the Egyptian community in the United States, which announced its rejection of the puppet Foreign Minister’s visit, reflecting their complete rejection of the this traitorous, heinous coup.

May God grant victory to the revolutionaries of Egypt
