Pro-Democracy National Alliance Calls Million-Man March Tuesday

Pro-Democracy National Alliance Calls Million-Man March Tuesday

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance issued the following statement:

To all youths, all students, young men and women of Egypt…

With dazzling steadfastness and resilience, you continue rejuvenation of the Revolution, and stand defiantly in the face of the putschists’ violence, brutality and their illusions of breaking your resistance, as coup leaders chase mere mirages and pipe dreams and destroy the homeland.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance solemnly salutes your legendary steadfastness and the determination, the persistence of all the revolutionary men and women of Egypt, and your commitment to the principles of the martyrs, on the fourth anniversary of the Rabaa and Nahda massacres, and the second anniversary of the Cabinet building clashes.

The Alliance denounces the brutal coup war on Egypt’s universities, and the continuing arbitrary arrests and cowardly detention of students, including 13-year old Khalid Abdul-Ghani (jailed for possession of a ruler decorated with a tiny Rabaa four-finger defiance sign), and 16-year old Mohamed Khattab, as well as University of Mansoura female students Abrar Anani, Yusra Al-Khatib and Mennat-Allah Mustafa.

The National Alliance renews its warning to deluded coup commanders and collaborators: the blood of Egyptians will not be laid to waste; no illegitimate proceedings or corrupt fanciful aspirations will help you dodge fair retribution. The Alliance renews its pledge to honor the martyrs and the January 25 Revolution.

To all loyal revolutionary men and women of Egypt…

Persist and escalate your revolt with creative innovative protest activities, peaceful defiance and selfless endeavors. Mark the martyrs’ anniversary by spreading the word about your just cause.

Let us mass in a solemn million-man march on Tuesday in all streets and squares of our dear homeland, as part of the revolutionary escalation process in the "Students Fuel the Revolution" week. What you seek is not too far now.
