In a statement Monday, Dr. Gamal Heshmat, leading member of both the Freedom and Justice Party and the Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance, said Egypt's youth spearhead the continuing January 25 Revolution, and their coordination hits the junta hard.

Heshmat added: "I have no doubt at all that the student movement will gather momentum and reach a critical mass that will ultimately break this coup.

"Those who scorn demonstrator numbers should know these peaceful protesters have been turning out daily for anti-coup demonstrations for nine whole months. On the other hand, where are the June 30 people? They have vanished, because the whole episode was concocted media myths and incitement."
