Military Coup Authorities Arrest Prominent Businessman Hassan Malik
With total impunity under the ruling military-appointed regime, security militias raid and ransack the homes of patriotic Egyptians without warrants, charges or details of the victims' whereabouts.

Coup authorities in Egypt arrested prominent businessman Hassan Malik (Chairman of the Egyptian Business Development Association) on Thursday evening from his home in New Cairo's Fifth District.

Security forces raided and searched Malik's home before taking him to an unknown location.

Before the January 2011 Revolution, Malik received unjust sentences in a military trial in the era of ousted president Hosni Mubarak. Then, Malik was released and pardoned.
