Libyan Muslim Brotherhood Supports Anti-ISIS Forces in Libya
Libyan Muslim Brotherhood Supports Anti-ISIS Forces in Libya
Monday, May 23,2016 04:53

While our beloved country is witnessing a great many momentous events that threaten the homeland with waves of sedition, discord and division, we find a glimmer of hope in the patriotic people committed to the Revolution and the homeland within the Libyan Chief of Staff's army and the revolutionary forces that rose up to fight the so-called "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria"

terrorist organization (ISIS) in and around the city of Sirte – this organization which distorts Islam and deals oppression and humiliation to the people, contradicting the tolerant nature of the faith and the inherent nature of the people of this homeland.

We, the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood, solemnly salute these anti-ISIS heroes and pray and mourn the martyrs of the city of Misrata and other Libyan cities. We pray for a speedy recovery for our wounded, reminding everyone of the need to close ranks and unite.

We demand that all state bodies and officials to support and stand steadfast with the revolutionaries, and to provide them with whatever they need. We stress the need for all our support in the fight against terrorism and the coup. They are just two sides of the same treacherous plot. We must protect moderate mainstream Islam, our faith, and the security of our country, away from all extremists, dictators and despots.

Long live Libya, free and proud... God save her patriotic people
