Egypt National Alliance Calls “Stop the Executions” Peaceful Protest Week

Egypt National Alliance Calls “Stop the Executions” Peaceful Protest Week

In the military coup junta’s Egypt, if you do not die by criminal police assassin’s bullets, you die at the gallows by orders of the judges who know nothing but injustice, you die of hunger, poverty or neglect, or you drown in the sea – no matter whether you are a junta supporter or an opponent.

Only yesterday, we bid farewell to Egypt’s martyrs: Dr Mohamed Kamal, member of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Guidance Bureau; and Dr Yasser Shehata. The junta’s police assassinated them in broad daylight. We also bid farewell to young Mohannad Ihab, who was the victim of medical neglect in prison. Before them, we bid farewell to seven martyrs executed with false death sentences.

Our pledge and promise to them and all martyrs: a just retribution is coming, very soon, where the unjust, the oppressors and criminals will regret their wrongdoing, but then no remorse will be of any use to them.

Amid all this, Egypt’s poor are still threatened with death through one crushing economic setback after another, where the destitute alone pay – dearly, while thieves and corrupt loot the homeland’s wealth and resources and seek to justify the economic failure, never admitting that the ruinous military coup tramples the rights of Egyptians everyday and threatens their future with domestic and foreign loans they cannot afford to pay back.

There are signs the junta will commit new murderous crimes against Egyptians using more final death sentences for the unjust execution of scores of innocent Egyptians. In the past three years, coup judges issued rulings to execute 1840 Egyptians, while 792 people have already been executed.

We are facing a reckless mad military regime, besieged by crises on every side. The junta intend to commit more follies and executions to deflect attention from their crises and failings. This repressive regime, and all those behind it, should realize that the blood of Egyptians will not be laid to waste, and that the free patriotic people will not stand idly by in the face of new reckless acts or rising prices.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance strongly rejects the death sentences used to execute national leaders and politicians, and calls for a new week of anger entitled "Stop the Executions" for every Egyptian to rise in revolt, to save themselves and their homeland, and to oust the traitorous junta and end their illegitimate coup which has harmed everyone.

Our message to the young men and women of the January 2011 Revolution, in particular: You must make a move now.

There no time to lose in order to save Egypt from the heinous murderer, who hijacked the will of the people, stomped on their dignity, killed their sons and daughters unjustly, and jailed tens of thousands of Egyptians.

The mad military coup’s evil was not confined to its opponents, but also extended to its supporters and those who acquiesced to its repression. With colonialist powers prodding it up, this traitorous regime has been implementing colonialist ideas, such as "divide and conquer". It has succeeded in dividing Egyptians, shielding behind some while it tortures others. And once it felt some strength, it turned onto its supporters and attacked them.

Keeping quiet about the treacherous coup regime’s follies will only make it commit more crimes. But cooperation between patriotic partners of the January 2011 Revolution will accelerate the rescue of the homeland from the ruinous coup and its evil.
