Hussein Ibrahem Hails Detainees’ Release

Hussein Ibrahem Hails Detainees’ Release

Hussein Ibrahem, the vice president of the parliamentary Muslim Brotherhood’s bloc, hailed the release of 453 of the detained Brothers; of them 293 were jailed in Borg al-Arab Prison while 160 were arrested in Cairo detention centers.

The Brotherhood’s MP said it is a significant step taken by the Interior Ministry to put an end to the suffering of numerous Egyptian families. He, moreover, requested a similar decision for freeing the remaining captures that have committed no crime but the exercise of their constitutional right of voting.

The release of detainees entrenches the process of the political reform, Ibrahem remarked. Therefore, provisionary prisoners, on charges relating to the recent parliamentary polls, should be set free, as well.
