Badie Rejects Government Allegations about the Fairness of Elections

Dr. Mohamed Badie, chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), praised the Egyptian judges for standing up against fraud, pointing out that the Egyptian judiciary did not disappoint the people.

He criticised those who claim that the Egyptian elections were fair despite all the evidences of fraud which exposed the regime.

During his meeting with members of the MB MP parliamentary bloc today, Dr. Badie explained that politics and elections for the National Democratic Party only means fraud and falsification, whereas the MB see it as values, loyalty, ethics, advancement and a total rejection of fraud.

He pointed out that the regime tried to hide its crimes but the MB continued to expose its violations, saying: “There are many advantages gained by the MB from participating in these elections such as proving the injustice, fraud and corruption of the ruling party available in 30 CDs that document its violations.”

Sobhy Saleh, assistant secretary general of the MB parliamentary bloc, affirmed that the MB have a mission which will not be affected by the absence of its members from parliament, as they will always be loyal to the Egyptian people, defending their rights.

He added that the MB will continue its constitutional struggle until the next parliament is proved void; stressing that it has become very strong, especially with the continued court rulings that assert the illegitimacy of the parliament.
