Bahar: Zionism is the only enemy of the Palestinian people

MP Dr. Ahmad Bahar, the first-deputy speaker of the PLC, said on Thursday that Zionism  is the only enemy of the Palestinian people, and that the Palestinian people have no problem at all with Judaizm as a religion.

 

Bahar uttered his remarks as he received members of the life line II convoy headed by British lawmaker George Galloway brining humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

 

“You are all welcome on the land of the Gaza Strip as you brought with you the human values for the Palestinian people in addition to the generous assistance that would help alleviate some of the suffering of the Palestinian people who have been under the repressive Israeli siege for three years now”, Bahar underlined as he welcomed the convoy.

 

He also explained that the Muslim Palestinian people have no enmity at all to Judaizm as a religion, and that the only enemy to the Palestinian people was and still is the Zionists who usurped the Palestinian land, displaced millions of the Palestinian people out of their country, and denied them their legal rights.

 

“Our enemy is the one who bombarded the Gaza Strip and killed more than 1,500 innocent Palestinian civilians and wounded more than 5,000 others”, the Palestinian official confirmed.

 

Bahar also briefed delegates of the convoy on the heinous Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip last January, and visited with them sites of the destruction left by the relentless Israeli shelling of the Strip for 23 successive days., in addition to kidnapping more than 40 Palestinian lawmakers from the PLC in a bid to spoil the democratic process in Palestine.

 

The convoy  which originated from the United States comprising more than 150 US citizens, a number of them of Palestinian origin, and it crossed into the Gaza Strip through Rafah crossing point carrying humanitarian assistance and calling to immediately break the unjust siege on Gaza.
