Bahar: National reconciliation based on constants national strategy

Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council, has said that national reconciliation should be based on Palestinian constants and not on conditions of the international quartet committee.

Bahar, addressing the Eidul Adha (feast of sacrifice) congregation on Friday in Gaza city, described national reconciliation as a “religious obligation and a national strategy”.

He urged the Ramallah authority to release all political detainees and to stop hunting citizens for their affiliation with Hamas or resistance.

The Hamas MP said that his Movement wants honest elections that are held away from the quartet’s conditions and away from Zio-American intervention.

Bahar urged the Arab countries, rulers and ruled, to assume their responsibilities towards occupied Jerusalem that is the target of an incessant judaization and settlement campaigns.

He described Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement of a 10-month settlement freeze in the West Bank as an attempt to deceive the world, adding that Israel declares a settlement freeze while continuing to expand in all occupied Palestinian lands.
