Bahar calls for unitary national plan to face encroaching Zionist danger
GAZA, — Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC), on Tuesday called for developing an integrated unified national program aimed to confront the invasive Zionist danger.
In a press release, Dr. Bahar stressed the need for achieving the inter-Palestinian reconciliation in order to reach this goal.
The deputy speaker also said that the anniversary of the land day reflects the nobility of the Palestinian people and their deep rootedness in their land as well as the size of sacrifices they have made to defend Palestine against the Israeli occupation.
He urged the Palestinian people, on this occasion, to exercise more patience, steadfastness, to be more adherent to the land of ancestors and make more sacrifices for the Islamic holy sites.
In the same context, a number of Palestinian lawmakers called for investing the anniversary of the land day to end the Palestinian division and confront any attempts to compromise or Judaize the land and the holy shrines.
During his participation in a ceremony for the restoration of agricultural lands in Al-Zeitoun area, MP Jamal Al-Khudari, the head of the popular committee against the siege, warned that the Israeli occupation is planning to take over all the Palestinian lands in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and occupied Jerusalem.
Khudari pointed out that the blockade on Gaza is part of a wider Zionist project aimed to displace the Palestinians from their lands and turn their lives into hell.
He called on the Palestinian forces and factions to unite and pool their efforts to face the challenges and the Zionist schemes.
For their part, Palestinian lawmakers in the West Bank Abdelrahman Zeidan and Fathi Qaraawi stressed in a press release on Tuesday the need for developing an urgent comprehensive plan to confront any decision or party waiving the Palestinian lands and holy sites.
In a related incident, the 1948 occupied lands especially the Galilee witnessed on Tuesday different popular activities and events to commemorate the 34th anniversary of the land day.
Thousands of Palestinians also went on marches and placed wreaths on the graves of martyrs who were killed in 1976.
