Blogger given offer in exchange for pen, principles, beliefs and conscience.

Interrogations of bloggers have become a ritual in Egypt which claims there is “Freedom of Speech”. On Friday September 25, Blogger Abdul Rahman Fares who blogs at Lesany Howa El Kalam (The Pen is my tongue) is the latest victim to succumb to the interrogations where he was questioned for hours in the Fayoum headquarters by State security inspectors.
The blogger was questioned about the up-coming rally which is to take place in October in accordance with the Muslim Brotherhood and El-Ghad party. Fares denied knowing anything about the issue.
Fares was offered protection and a political position in the National Democratic Party and later promotions by officer Tamer Adel in exchange for quitting any work within the civil society. However, Fares refused the offer.
