Blogger Mohamed Khairi To Be Referred Tomorrow

Faiyum Prosecution decided on Tuesday November 18 to put off the referral of internet activist Mohamed Khairi till tomorrow for yet unknown reasons despite existing at the prosecution premises.

Egyptian security forces topped by Major Amr El-Himili, stormed into the house of internet blogger Mohamed Khairi in Faiyum on Monday and arrested him.

Khairi was detained on October 22nd due to participating in the Anti-Gaza Siege Popular Campaign. However, he was released after imprisonment for 15 days. Thus, this is the second time for Khairi to be arrested within one month.

Right organizations strenuously criticized the security apparatus for the intensive round-up campaign launched against internet activists last month.
