Brotherhood Member Released From Wadi Al-Natroun

Brotherhood Member Released From Wadi Al-Natroun

North Cairo court ordered on Sunday the release of Brotherhood member Mohamed Hamdi Abd Rabu who was detained at Wadi Al-Natroun Prison.

Abd Rabu has been detained for almost three months. State security issued an arrest warrant against him after arrest.

Brotherhood attorney has filed a petition for the Ministry of Interior to release Abd Rabu. The petition was approved and he was ordered released during the session held on August 27, 2008 before South Cairo court; however, the Interior challenged the release decision. Therefore, another session was set on Sunday September 21, 2008 before North Cairo court that ordered him released as well.

He is expected to leave prison Monday.

In the same regard, Egyptian security apparatus is still launching intensive roundup campaigns against dozens of Muslim Brotherhood leaders and cadres including former parliamentarians.
