Brotherhood on Nakba Day: Arab Spring Will Change Continued Israeli Occupation Equation

Muslim Brotherhood statement detailed the 65-year history since Palestine’s Nakba (calamity) when some Western colonialists conspired against Palestine, including the resistance inside Palestine and the adoption by the Muslim Brotherhood in the forties of Jihad against Zionist occupiers despite conspiracy by certain Arab countries.

The Muslim Brotherhood statement said: "Ever since the founding of this hostile terrorist racist expansionist monstrosity, it’s been causing chaos, turmoil and many violent wars in the region, and is still escalating its aggression, annexing more land, taking over Jerusalem, and continues to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homes and homeland. It constantly and actively works to Judaize Jerusalem and other Palestinian territories, and piles up banned weapons of mass destruction, safe in the protection of the US and the West, that support it with money, arms and manpower, while defending its illegitimacy and criminality in international institutions.

"If the catastrophe of 1948 shook the whole area at the time, the continuation of injustice and aggression will only lead to continued resistance, as Palestinians seek to defend themselves, their honor, land and holy places. If the occupation has lasted this long, history tells how the Crusaders occupied Damascus and Jerusalem for centuries; but then they were forced out at the end. No right is lost, so long as people fight to restore it.

"Arab world circumstances today will no doubt change the rules of the game, and will restore the rights to Palestinians, God willing."
